a mazin name

So names are important. But when freelancing in a one person company it is not that important. The brand of the actual person is much more important. Still when setting up a new company it is fun to have a nice name. Otherwise it will be Fredrik Rubensson Consulting which is nice and very descriptive but maybe not that unique. For me the name was easy because I set up this site a couple of years ago as a private blog and choose the name mazin for that. And lucky as I was the name was not used by anything else on the swedish market. So Mazin Consulting became the name of the company and this site was morphed into a corporate web site. The original content is still available at weblog and will continue to exist as its own and somewhat entangled thing.

So what does it mean. There are a few ways to interpret the word: - the most obvious is dropping a and g from amazing creating a cooler word with the same meaning. - but in a space in the middle and you get “ma zin”. - or in the same hood the likeness to magazine. - machine is another word that is in the same proximity and makes more sense for the company then the weblog.

How is it pronounced? Here it is in phonetics: [meɪzɪn].

So will this new company do any mazin work. Well that is not for me to decide. I will do my best as always!
